If you’ve ever had an Intuitive Reading with me you would know – it’s your crown chakra that I see in it’s full glory. This energy centre at the top of your head is known as “The 1000 petaled lotus” each petal symbolic of a gift, quality, or passion to explore – your purpose. Often, we’re aware of just a couple of our gifts which lead to our vocation but what about the 998 others!
Your purpose involves a whole lot more than your career, you don’t need a special job to be aligned to your calling.
It’s not one single thing that you “do” that reflects your purpose, your spirit is multidimensional by nature and you have a unique blend of petals (gifts) which includes your interests, quirks, passions and karmic teachings.
The easiest way to get in touch with your purpose is to pay attention to the things you love and stay devoted to following these joys over and over again. I promise you – your purpose will start to emerge, doors will open, ideas will visit you, and you’ll live a rich fulfilling life – sounds easy right?
And yet, your ego makes it so complicated.
Your ego wants a step-by-step manual, armed with every possibility of what could go wrong, and every outcome before trying anything at all. The thing is, when you follow your internal guidance system and honour your inspiration, you can’t get it wrong, you won’t miss out, and it’s never too late. There’s no such thing as wasted time as you sift and sort through life – like a breadcrumb trail, as you follow each piece, you gather information which leads to the next step.
Years ago, my mentor Sonia Choquette told me I had an unacknowledged gift to teach through my written word. At the time I had a block around it, I scoffed at the idea that *I* could be a writer. Interestingly, I worked in bookstores whilst I studying Kinesiology but I believed in order to be a “writer” you must have a degree in literature, be interested in highly intellectual topics and own a vast vocabulary (all of which I didn’t!) I had unconsciously decided, I had nothing important to say, and continued not to write for quite sometime. Only recently did I see, my “written” word could actually be helpful, enjoyable even, and yet my underlying fear continued to stop me from sharing my voice publicly.
Kinesiology is hands down, my go-to remedy for clearing blocks and discovering the source of my stress.
After a couple of sessions, I cleared lifetimes of fear and inadequacy. What used to take days for me to write, now spews out in a matter of minutes because I’m kinder to myself, and no longer fret over the small stuff (grammatical and spelling errors!)
I am enough. You are enough. Your gifts are enough.
When I tune in to your energy, I see which gifts (petals) are unfurling and those that lay dormant, ready to be awakened. Sometimes, I see specific words written on your petals, giving insight around your purpose, lessons and the things that bring light to your spirit! I discovered through my Intuitive Readings, that we have at least 100 petals open at any given time, they’re made up of your imperfections, quirks, gifts, lessons, ancestral history and the blend of you-ness that no-one else in the world possesses.
An Intuitive Reading can be an eye opener but it’s not the only way to unveil your gifts, you have already hold this wisdom within you. Start by making a list of all your gifts, talents, and strengths that you make you who you are, and aim to recognise at least one hundred. Don’t forget to include your interests and topics that you feel passionate about, everything that comes to mind counts. You might be an amazing cook at, or maybe you deeply listen to others in times of need, perhaps you bring beauty to every thing you do!
For example, I’ve had a few petals unfurl recently that at first seemed very random.
Out of no where, I became obsessed with the Queen of England, yep I was surprised too! I devoured books, movies, and anything I could on her. I realised, what I found to be inspiring about her, is already emerging within me – leadership and delegation are awakening within my own life.
Your interests are a mirror and tell you a lot about your own uniqueness and purpose.
Keep adding to your list daily, I have a dear client in her 80’s who after a lifetime of feeling exempt from her purpose realised she had gifts to offer! She excitedly reported to have 560 gifts written on her list, and feels more purposeful now than ever before. This beautiful woman is determined to uncover 440 more petals and has inspired my own list to grow too!
Having a deeper understanding of your gifts will help you show up in life with a full presence. I made you a free workbook to help you acknowledge your own special blend of gifts. Print it out and keep it next to your bed, it’ll support your discovery!
What new petals are blooming in your life? Which ones have been around for a while? Is there something you love doing that seems random?
I’d love to hear from you!
